Blackpink star Rosé dreams of "being anonymous" because it would give her more "freedom"

The 28-year-old pop singer shot to international fame with the girl group back in 2016, but she goes to great lengths to disguise herself - even dressing up like an old woman so she could walk the streets without being recognised - and Rose admits she hates having to give up her independence because of her job

She told Dazed magazine: "What does freedom look like to me? Freedom means being anonymous."

Recalling her experience using prosthetics to disguise herself, she insisted she won't go to such extreme lengths again , adding: "It was really, really intense. I don't think I'll ever do that again."

However, when asked if she would ever consider going into acting in a bid to become another person temporarily, she replied: "Wow, yes, I think that would be incredible in that sense ... Yes, I would love to act, because I'll get to feel what it's like to be anonymous."

Rosé also recalled a time when she was asked to speak at a corporate event in Europe and she dreaded walking through the crowd, but she was delighted when no one seemed to notice her.

She said of the experience: "I was so anxious because usually when I walk through a big crowd of people I have to understand that people are going to recognise me and look at me .. [But no one noticed me so] I was jumping up and down after ... "

Rosé released her debut studio album 'Rosie' last year but she's about to get back to work with Blackpink as they kick off the 'Blackpink 2025 World Tour' on July 5 at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea.

Her bandmate Lisa recently hinted they may also be releasing new music soon as they have been back in the studio working on a new album.

In an interview with Variety, the 'White Louts' actress spilled: "Actually, we were in the studio a few days ago.

"We're all so super excited to get back together and go on tour. We really miss the Blinks. We can't wait to see them."
