    New Zealand swimmers Amber George and Savannah-Eve Martin have failed to progress out of their 50m backstroke heats at the World Championships in Singapore


    George was the 25th fastest and Martin the 29th quickest - well outside the top 16 to progress.

    Lewis Clareburt is in action in the 200m medley heats this hour.

    Erika Fairweather has her 200m freestyle final tonight.
