Two climbers are stuck in a hut in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park for a third day

Two climbers are stuck in a hut in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park for a third day

Police received a report from a pair needing help on Tuesday afternoon.

A police spokesperson says there has been no change in weather conditions, so it remains too risky to attempt a rescue.

The Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Rescue Team is in communication with the climbers, as it continues to assess conditions.
