Police in Hamilton are carrying out a man hunt after shots were fired last night in Chartwell

They responded to reports of shots being fired at a Bellmont Avenue address just after 6:30pm.

The alleged offender ran from the scene and police tracked him with the assistance of the Police Eagle Helicopter.

There's been a large police presence in the area and the public's asked to call 111 if they see anything suspicious.
