Chrissy Teigen was rushed to the dentist after she knocked out one of her front veneers while preparing a Christmas activity that involved candy canes for her children

The 40-year-old TV personality shared a video to her Instagram account on Sunday (21.12.25) in which she made light of the dental injury she sustained while trying to unwrap the sweet treat with her teeth.

She jokingly wrote in the post's caption: "Merry chrithmath from our family to yours!!!!!!! (sic)", mimicking a lisp.

The clip, which was titled Growing Candy Cane (Gone wrong), Chrissy could be seen sitting around a dining table at home, helping her children - Luna, nine, Miles, seven, and two-year-olds Esti and Wren, whom she has with her 46-year-old husband, singer John Legend - fill plant pots with crumbled Oreo cookies and a candy cane.

In the same video, Chrissy appeared three days later, sitting on a sofa beside a few candy canes as she shared that her tooth fell out as she prepared the candy canes for her children.

She said: "I've been working on candy cane-growing. I tried to open one of these bad boys ... my tooth fell off."

Showing off her old front tooth, the cookbook author continued: "It's a veneer, I have the whole piece.

"This is what moms do for their kids, so you can think you grew a candy cane. I was trying to create magic - now I have no tooth."

Referring to her children's school recital, Chrissy added: "And tomorrow's the Winter Sing ... oh my God!"

In the next scene in the clip, the model could be seen driving her children to their recital, and as she watched them in her seat, Chrissy donned a facemask so no one would spot her missing veneer.

She wrote over the shot of her watching the recital: "Had to go to recital like this."

Chrissy - who secured an emergency dentist appointment - later took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo of her sitting in a dentist's chair having her veneer refitted by cosmetic dentist, Dr. Laurence Rifkin.

She penned over the clip: "We are back in business, shout out to the tooth goat."

And following the procedure, Chrissy uploaded another photo to her Instagram Stories, showing off her old tooth.

She said over the image: "Was cool to say hi to my old tooth for a while hiiii old tooth! (sic)"
