High hopes for dairy prices following a disappointing end to last year

The Global Dairy Trade index, recorded nine falls in a row to round out 2025 - but prices have risen sharply this month.

Rabobank says New Zealand's food and agribusiness sector will need to keep up with global forces if it wants to stay ahead.

Senior Analyst Emma Higgins, says the change in prices this month is a great start.

She says there is still a lot of milk in the vats - so there is cautious optimism going ahead.
