The housing market is currently favouring buyers - but that may not last

A new report from Cotality NZ shows it's being driven by house prices trending sideways and good stock listing for people to choose from.
There's also solid access to low deposit finance at the banks.
Chief Property Economist Kelvin Davidson says anyone with a deposit should think about getting into the market now.
He says banks also have an allowance to lend at less than 20 percent.
But Davidson warns house price growth may be on the horizon - which may take some pricing power out of the buyers, and put it in the hands of sellers.
