Prince William has thanked Taylor Swift for a "great evening" after he posed for a selfie with the singer along with his children at her sold out London show

The royal's official Instagram account posted the snap, which featured his and his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales' kids Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, nine, on Saturday (22.06.24) afternoon - hours after the heir to the throne was videoed at the gig in Wembley Stadium on Friday night 'dad dancing' as he celebrated his 42nd birthday

His and Catherine's Instagram post captioned the image of him and his kids beaming alongside Taylor: "Thank you Taylor Swift for a great evening!"

Taylor, 34, also posted a snap she took after her show with William, George and Charlotte - which also featured her 34-year-old NFL player boyfriend Travis Kelce.

She said alongside the image: "Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start."

Taylor kicked off the UK leg of her 'The Eras Tour' at Wembley in front of around 90,000 fans on Friday.

Footage of the gig posted on social media included a clip of William dancing in the crowd among thousands of her cheering Swiftie fans.

It showed Taylor on the stage in the distance as she performed 'Shake it Off' before panning around to show William shaking his arms and torso.

A post of the footage on X included the comment: "Prince William being a 1989 girlie is taking me OUT."

William turned 42 on Friday and his wife Catherine, 42, marked the occasion by posting a snap of him leaping over sand dunes with their three children.

The royal posted the never-before-seen picture of her husband playing with their kids George, Charlotte, and six-year-old Prince Louis at the beach on Friday morning as she continues to largely stay out of the public eye as she receives preventative cancer treatment.

She captioned the image, released on the Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram account: "Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much! C x."
