Iva Jovic and Alex Eala are coming to grips with who they played ... and beat ... in the opening round of the doubles at the ASB Classic

The pair dispatched Venus Williams and Elina Svitolina 7-6, 6-1.

Williams won the first of her Grand Slam singles and doubles titles before Jovic and Eala were born.

When asked about facing Williams for the first time, the pair could barely contain their excitement.
