A Hamilton puppy owner has been sentenced to 11 months home detention and intensive supervision

A Hamilton puppy owner has been sentenced to 11 months home detention and intensive supervision

The man attacked his dog multiple times between January and February 2023, including kicking, hitting and throwing into a timber frame.

Police found Milo in his kennel shaking, struggling to stand, tail tucked, and with blood on the floor.

A vet identified multiple injuries including missing skin, a compressed spine and swollen face, and clear mental distress.

The man has been disqualified from owning animals for five years, and Milo has been rehomed.
