Teddi Mellencamp has revealed doctors discovered four more brain tumours during an emergency MRI

The 43-year-old 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star - who has three children with her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 5, and son Cruz, 10, and is stepmother to Edwin's 16-year-old daughter Isabella - was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in October 2022 and has since undergone multiple surgeries and treatments

She has now told UsWeekly about the discovery of the new tumours: "I'm fighting for my life, but also for my family's life and all the people I love."

In February, Teddi revealed she had surgery to remove four brain tumours that had gone undetected for at least six months.

A month later, she said doctors had found five more tumours - three in her brain and two in her lungs.

As she continues her fight against cancer, Teddi said she has stopped using her well-known reassurance to her children.

She added to UsWeekly: "I have not said that line to them since I've been back (from the hospital.)

"They all know that I'm fighting the hardest I possibly can, but I haven't said (it) because I don't want to lie to them. And I don't know."

Despite experiencing fatigue due to radiation and immunotherapy treatments, she has maintained a sense of humour.

Teddi added: "I thought I was going to feel like how I felt after my neck lift.

"My reaction is always a headache, and I found out that's good news because it means that the immunotherapy or the radiation is killing your cancer."

Teddi described herself as "lucky" and recalled how her son helped her feel better about the pixie haircut she had after surgery.

She said: "Ugh, I'm so over it already. But Cruz made it a little better because he said, 'Mom, we can get all the same haircuts.'"

Teddi also said she is "listening to (her) body", as well as "staying active" and continuing to do the things she loves.

She added: "When I do too much laying (around), I get pretty sad.

"On the days I'm feeling low, I can get really emotional, and if I'm open with the people in my life, then I have an easier time resting.

"When I try to pretend I'm OK and resting, it's hard for me."
