Fire and Emergency is closing in on the seat of the blaze at Auckland's New World Victoria Park

Fire and Emergency is closing in on the seat of the blaze at Auckland's New World Victoria Park

Crews worked through the night to extinguish the fire from the supermarket, that was open while being renovated.

Incident Controller Phil Larcombe believes it was sparked about 11am, around the construction area.

He says the area of origin they're focusing on, is towards the rear of the building.
