Police have gathered in Waikato's Te Awamutu - investigating a homicide overnight

Police have gathered in Waikato's Te Awamutu - investigating a homicide overnight

Police and St John called to a disorder incident on Te Rahu Road just before midnight - found a man unconscious, who later died.

A 27-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were arrested, with charges being considered.

Police can't rule out further arrests.

Maryana Garcia says residents are shocked, and tell her it's usually a quiet street.

She says detectives are arriving at the scene and unmarked police cars have been let through the cordon.
