The ACC Minister denies saying ACC may shed some responsibility for helping sexual violence victims

It was reported last week Scott Simpson was considering narrowing the scope of ACC cover - and whether other agencies may be better placed.

ACC's confirmed it's paused rolling out its sexual violence prevention programme nationwide.

Simpson says that's not related.

He says he was referring to court cases - that extended the range of expectations of ACC.

He says ACC will always be available to support victims of sexual violence - and there's no consideration of any proposals otherwise.
