Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taupo
Scattered rain, becoming widespread with possibly heavy falls about Bay of Plenty and Taupo from afternoon.
Waitomo to Taranaki, including Taumarunui and Taihape
Cloudy and occasional rain.
Whanganui to Wellington
Partly cloudy. A few spots of rain north of Manawatu this evening.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Showers, turning to rain in Gisborne and Hawke's Bay this afternoon.
Marlborough and Canterbury
Areas of cloud, mainly morning and evening. The chance of a shower north of Christchurch.
Remainder of the South Island
Morning cloud about Otago and Southland, otherwise mainly fine.
Chatham Islands
