A northwest flow strengthens over the South Island tonight, ahead of another front that moves onto the South Island during Sunday. The front and an associated low pass over the upper South Island and North Island through Monday and into early Tuesday, followed by cooler southwesterly flow. A ridge of high pressure gradually builds over the South Island during Wednesday. Forecast issued at 1022hrs Saturday 29-Jun-2024 Valid to 1 pm Saturday for Bay of Islands Recreational Marine Area.
