High pressure continues to dominate the country, while a front lingers near the bottom of the South Island from Friday to Saturday. On Sunday, a trough moves onto the country, bringing with it a northerly flow. Forecast issued at 2306hrs Tuesday 20-May-2025 Valid to 1 am Wednesday for Bay of Islands Recreational Marine Area. Wednesday: Southerly 15 knots, becoming southeast 10 knots early afternoon. Sea slight. Fine apart from some morning cloud. Easterly swell half a metre.
