 Recreational Marine: Bay of Islands Marine Weather Situation and Forecast issued at 0715hrs Thursday 03-Apr-2025 by MetService Nil for BRETT Situation: A deep low is positioned just west of the South Island, moving southeastward and driving a strong northeasterly flow over New Zealand. Several fronts associated with the low will cross the country today. The large trough on Friday then shifts eastward, moving out of the region late in the day. A ridge of high pressure moves over New Zealand on Saturday. On Sunday, a low over the Tasman Sea approaches the centre of the country, followed by a strong southwesterly wind establishing itself by late Monday.
