Tomorrow, the ridge extends over the rest of the country, and the flow turns southeast over the North Island. On Tuesday a ridge of high pressure over New Zealand starts to weaken, while a front approaches from the Tasman Sea, bringing northeasterlies to the South Island. On Wednesday, the front moves onto the country. On Thursday, the front crosses New Zealand, with a northwest flow spreading over the country behind it. Forecast issued at 0427hrs Sunday 06-Jul-2025 Valid to 7 am Sunday for The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head. Sunday: Southerly 15 knots, rising to 20 knots for a time in the morning, then easing to 10 knots in the evening. Sea becoming moderate for a time in the morning. Fine, apart from some morning cloud.
