    Saturday : Southerly 20 knots easing to variable 10 knots east of Farewell Spit to Hawera in the evening.
    Becoming variable 10 knots everywhere overnight.
    Moderate sea easing.
    West of Farewell Spit to Hawera: very long period westerly swell 1 metre.
    Sunday : Variable 10 knots, westerly 15 knots developing late morning.
    Rising to 25 knots in the evening.
    Sea becoming rough.
    West of Farewell Spit to Hawera: very long period westerly swell 1 metre.

    Outlook following 3 days:
    Monday: Northerly 20 knots, rising to 30 knots in the morning.
    Becoming westerly 25 knots in the afternoon.
    Sea becoming rough.
    Moderate northwest swell.
    Tuesday: Westerly 25 knots, becoming southeast 15 knots but southwest 25 knots west of Farewell Spit to Hawera later.
    Sea rough.
    Moderate northwest swell easing.
    Heavy southwest swell developing in the west.
    Wednesday: Becoming southeast 10 knots but southerly 25 knots east of Stephens Island.
    Sea becoming rough in the east.
    Heavy westerly swell, but moderate southerly swell developing east of Stephens Island.
