Market Report - Thursday, 17 Jul 2025
The NZ Sharemarket surged upwards today with the NZX50 up 1.17% percent (150.08 points) from previous close to end the day at 12,755. The most actively traded stock on the bourse, with over 2.5 million shares changing hands was Spark New Zealand Ltd , closing the day down 3% from it's opening to $2.65. The next biggest trader was Smart S&P/NZX NZ Government Bond ETF Units ($2.22) with over 2.3 million shares being traded. Rises outweighed falls by 114 to 107, with the star of the day being Promisia Healthcare Ltd (, while the biggest loser was Metro Performance Glass Ltd (up 0%). |
