The NZ Sharemarket rose slightly today with the NZX50 up 0.45% percent (52.82 points) from previous close to end the day at 11,730. The most actively traded stock on the NZSE, with over 2.4 million shares changing hands was Spark New Zealand Ltd, closing the day up 1% from it's opening to $4.05. The next biggest trader was Meridian Energy Ltd (NS) ($6.50) with over 1.8 million shares being traded. Rises outweighed falls by 123 to 108, with the star of the day being Geneva Finance Ltd (, while the biggest loser was Synlait Milk Ltd (NS) (up 0%). |
